After a site survey, a qualified architect prepares full plans and building calculations. These take into consideration your requirements and the existing external structure of your property.
Some conversions require planning permission, most require Building Regulation approval. Apex Lofts will advise on what local authority permission you require and submit all of the necessary paperwork. We will ensure that local authority permission can be obtained before we commence work on your property.
Approved firms only erect this who comply with current Health & Safety Regulations
Should local authority permission be required to place skips on public roads, we will ensure we have it at no extra cost to the customer.
All reasonable precautions are taken when parts of the existing ceiling are removed to accommodate the stairwell or the existing roof structure is altered to accommodate the new loft space.
The correct number and size RSJ's are bought into the loft area via the roof. These may require to be craned into the property depending on their size. These are secured to steel plates built into your existing walls. We use an approved crane company who too comply with all current Health & Safety regulations.
Only fully trained plumbers, electricians and plasterers have been approved by Apex Lofts to work on our loft conversions. The client will be consulted so that their requirements are fulfilled. This includes the positioning of equipment and appliances.
Where possible we will try to match the existing décor of the property. Again the customer will be consulted.
